Arr, Me Mateys!

The St Augustine Pirate & Treasure Museum is the perfect day of fun for would-be buccaneers of all ages. Little captains and their big first mates will be transported back in time to the age when swashbuckling salty dogs ruled the high seas. Kids will be able to hoist the Jolly Roger, check out real pirate gold, learn about buried treasure, and even cross (safe!) swords on a ship’s deck replica. Ahoy!

Get a Whole New Perspective

If you’re looking to continue your seafaring-themed adventures, the St Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum offers families a fantastic peek into the nautical navigation of days gone by. Originally built in 1874, the lighthouse overlooks Salt Run bay and beautiful Conch Island. The museum portion features informative and entertaining exhibits on the area’s portside past.

Challenge Your Mind

St Augustine is home to the original Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditorium & Museum, the original home of the inexplicable, unexplainable, and just plain weird. At the flagship location (built inside a beautiful historic mansion), kids will thrill to more than 800 interactive exhibits designed to delight. They’ll discover illusions, bizarre mysteries, and off-the-wall oddities that they’re sure to talk about for years to come.

Swim With Dolphins

At Marineland Dolphin Adventure, budding marine biologists will find themselves in the best place possible to learn about everyone’s favorite sea mammal: the incredible dolphin. And that’s not all — Marineland houses an interactive habitat where guests can actually enjoy an experience with these gentle and intelligent animals. It’s an experience not to be missed.

Go Behind Bars

Built in 1891, Old Jail served as St Augustine’s primary correctional facility until 1953. Now it stands as a unique attraction where guests can learn fascinating facts about its historic importance. Visitors can tour the jail cells, check out period clothing and tools, and hear intriguing stories about some of the miscreants who once called it home. Tours happen every 20 minutes, 364 days per year (excluding Christmas Day).

Take a Trolley Tour

See St Augustine from a classic streetcar! Old Town Trolley Tours offers multiple fun routes through some of St Augustine’s most picturesque and historically significant neighborhoods. Take a tour of points of interest or simply hop on to get from point A to point B and all points between.
