Planning a Golf Getaway to St. Augustine

It’s a well-known fact that Florida is a golfers’ paradise, so it’s an easy pick if you’re planning a golf getaway. However, the Sunshine State is pretty big, so narrowing down your options can be difficult. If you want to enjoy fantastic weather, natural beauty, proximity to the beach, and some of the best courses in the country, then St. Augustine is the perfect destination for your golf trip. Read on to learn more about where to play and where to stay.

When to Visit

Part of the appeal of St. Augustine is the fact that the weather here is pretty much always great, meaning you can take a trip any time of year. Spring weather is particularly pleasant, averaging in the 60s and 70s with low humidity and rainfall. Summer is warmer, ranging from the 70s to the 90s and bringing more humidity and rain. Fall weather is much like spring, and winter averages between the high 40s and high 60s, with the least amount of precipitation.

The city is the most crowded during the spring and summer, so there can be more competition for the most popular tee times. Fall and winter are less popular times to visit, meaning you won’t see as many crowds on the courses or around town.
