The 35th Annual Cathedral Festival will take place from Friday through Sunday, February 28 – March 1, 2020, on the grounds of the Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche at Mission of Nombre de Dios. There will be fun for the whole family, with rides, games, raffles, food and art vendors, fireworks, and more.

The Cathedral Festival features a traditional carnival midway with rides that are thrilling for all ages, including a Ferris wheel, a carousel, a tilt-a-whirl, and a super slide.

There are raffles, auctions, and bingo on all three days of the Festival. There will be a Silent Auction from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 24, where visitors can bid on a wide variety of prizes. (Tables close at 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.) The Cathedral Festival Super Raffle, with impressive cash prizes, will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. 

Live Entertainment

From baton twirlers to classic rock bands, the Cathedral Festival offers a lively schedule of live entertainment (see below).


There will be a fireworks show Saturday night at 9:00 p.m. (If it rains on Saturday, they'll try again on Sunday night.)

Shrimp Dinner

The Cathedral Festival features a delicious fried shrimp dinner on Sunday from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. (or while supplies last). Tickets are $8.00 per person if ordered here in advance and $10.00 per person if purchased at the event. The meal includes jumbo fried shrimp, hush puppies, beans, and coleslaw. Dinner tickets can be purchased in advance and on-site.

Food and Beverages

Visitors can enjoy great food vendors at the festival, including fair food like funnel cake, popcorn, and cotton candy.  Drinks will also be available, including Coca-Cola products, beer, and wine. (They ID. Please drink responsibly).


Parking is available in surrounding parking locations that can be viewed here:

City parking lots are marked with a P and are pay/metered parking. The parking garage offers all-day parking for a $15.00 fee. It's three blocks from the festival and offers over 1200 parking spots.

Admission: There is a nominal admission charge to enter the festival grounds: $5 for adults, $3 for kids aged 11-17 and seniors over 65, and free for active-duty military and kids 10 and under. Sheets of 20 ride tickets (most rides take 4 to 6 tickets) are available for $15.00 if purchased in advance and for $20.00 if purchased at the Festival. Tickets are available at the Cathedral Parish School (259 St. George Street), the Early Education Center (10 Sebastian Ave.), the Cathedral Basilica rectory, Ameris Bank locations, and Carmelo's Marketplace (146 West King St.).

Friday, February 28:  5:00 – 10:30 p.m.
Saturday, February 29: 12:00 noon – 10:30 p.m. Fireworks at 9:00 p.m.
Sunday, March 1: 12:00 noon – 9:00 p.m. Fireworks rain date.

Where: The Festival takes place on the Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche at Mission Nombre de Dios grounds near the Giant Cross, at 101 San Marco Avenue, St. Augustine, FL 32084.

Proceeds from this event benefit the Cathedral Parish School and the Cathedral Parish Early Education Center.
